“Experiencing a miscarriage is a tremendous shock. Infertility is defined as 2 or more consecutive miscarriages. The joyful feelings resulting from a positive pregnancy test give way to feelings of disappointment and sadness. A feeling of unreality – “this can’t be happening to me” – is mixed with a deeper sense of having lost something precious – a baby.”

This excerpt is from the support group RESOLVE‘s website.  If you ha have experienced two miscarriages or more than seek additional help.  As a society we seem to down play miscarriages, but if you have experienced one then you know the heartbreak that goes along with the disappointment.  It is to be expected that your next pregnancy will be met with some guarded excitement.  But if that pregnancy also ends in miscarriage the heartbreak is even more difficult.  Seek a support group, connect with other’s online AND get medical help.  Don’t explain it away as, “These things happen.”  It may be an unfortunate coincidence OR there may be an underlying medical reason that can only be corrected with medical assistance, maybe simply by using the correct medications for following pregnancies.

If you have had multiple miscarriages my heart goes out to you.  My husband and I have experienced two, back-to-back miscarriages after IVF and it was one of the most difficult things to understand and deal with.  Get support and hang in there, take it one day at a time.  Here is the full article:
