The statistic this week is from the Resolve website:
“Infertility is a disease of the reproductive system. One third (30%) of infertility can be attributed to male factors, and about one third (30%) can be attributed to female factors. In about 20% of cases infertility is unexplained, and the remaining 10% of infertility is caused by a combination of problems in both partners.”
As we read yesterday, infertility is a “couple’s problem”. It may physically be one partner or the other but it is an issue that affects both partners. Don’t play the blame game. Don’t even go there. It doesn’t help. In the same way you would hopefully support your spouse through cancer treatments hopefully you would support your spouse through infertility if the issue lays solely on their plate. Leave the “I told you to wear boxers!” comments to yourself! Be kind to each other and hold on to hope.
